Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mr. Kurs spent his standard faculty years in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and then the remainder of his number one education years in East Windsor, New Jersey.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Thomas Edison State College, and his Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School, and is admitted to practice law before the courts of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and the Federal District of New Jersey.
Mr. Kurs finished a Civil Internship with the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP), a Criminal Internship with the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice, Office of the Lawyer General, Organized Crime and Racketeering Bureau, and served because the Judicial clerk within the Supreme Court of New York, Kings County, Criminal Division, Domestic Violence Part, with the Honorable Charles A. Posner.
He has a lifelong dedication to network provider. He has been an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for greater than thirty years, with revel in in heavy rescue, extrication, unsafe materials (HazMat), emergency control, and he has been a 9-1-1 dispatcher. To these days, Mr. Kurs continues present day certifications and keeps to serve as a EMT. Mr. Kurs joined with other legal professionals who are also EMTs or Paramedics, and co-authored a criminal treatise on EMS Law. Mr. Kurs serves as seasoned bono counsel for severa volunteer EMS and Fire Departments.
He has served as a volunteer member of the Mercer County Domestic Violence Victim Response Team, has provided seasoned bono legal offerings to sufferers of domestic violence. Mr. Kurs has been elected two times to serve as a Hightstown Borough Councilmember, He has served because the Hightstown Police Commissioner Mr. Kurs has served as a municipal prosecutor in more than one townships throughout Mercer and Middlesex Counties.
Mr. Kurs serves because the Municipal Court Judge of Hightstown, and as such he can no longer take delivery of any crook, visitors or restraining order matters.
