Rosa realized her choice to practice Immigration and Nationality law shortly thereafter due to the human rights aspect this is inherent to the exercise of Immigration regulation. Prior to being sworn in as an lawyer she labored as an intern for a not-for-profit business enterprise in Washington, D.C. known as Mil Mujeres, which gives low-value, non-litigation criminal services to low-income Hispanic immigrants and their families. Rosa then became a Student Clinician in Florida Coastal School of Law’s Immigrant and Human Rights Clinic (formerly the Immigrant Rights Clinic). During that point she had the pleasure of representing clients, under the supervision of an legal professional, who were applying for U visas, T visas, Prosecutorial Discretion, and Asylum. In her ultimate year of law faculty, Rosa labored as a prison intern for the Department of Justice’s Office of Immigration Litigation-Appellate Section in Washington, D.C. During her time with the Office of Immigration Litigation, Rosa wrote live motions and appellate briefs for asylum cases on behalf of the Department of Justice. While in law school, Rosa dedicated a variety of her time to supporting people who would in any other case be not able to find the money for criminal representation and as a result she supplied over a thousand hours of prison seasoned bono paintings in the course of her 3 years at Florida Coastal School of Law and become presented the Pro Bono Honors Award. She is certified to practice within the state of Florida.
