Robert Michaux is a member of the Intellectual Property and Litigation departments at Christian & Barton. He often assists and advises corporate and small enterprise customers with copyright and trademark matters, and represents customers with these “smooth IP” troubles earlier than courts and administrative companies. He also assists clients with securing, implementing and preserving trademark registrations in both the U.S. and in numerous worldwide jurisdictions. In addition, Mr. Michaux has revel in in a numerous variety of business litigation disputes in both country and federal courts, consisting of copyright and trademark infringement actions, exchange secret misappropriation, unfair competition, fake advertising cases, business tort and conspiracy claims, agreement, real property, and tax credit subjects, and declaratory judgment movements.
Mr. Michaux is active in bar leadership and presently serves as an officer on the Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law Section Council for the Virginia Bar Association, and at the Board of Governors for the Virginia State Bar’s Intellectual Property Law Section. He also is a beyond president of the Greater Richmond Intellectual Property Law Association. In addition, he frequently writes and speaks on problems in copyright and trademark law, and is the writer of a criminal treatise chapter on particular and specific packages of copyright law on line.
