Mike spent his senior 12 months of high college as a Rotary trade scholar in a small metropolis approximately 50 miles from Venice. Mike went to the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, wherein he double majored in History and Italian and spent another year analyzing overseas in Bologna, Italy.

He determined to serve his community as an AmeriCorps*VISTA volunteer and spent a 12 months organizing low-profits tenants and helped them construct the Minnesota Tenants Network, an organization that helped them better recognize their criminal rights as tenants and gave them a public discussion board thru which they could recommend for their rights.
Mike continued his paintings to develop the rights of negative and socially-marginalized individuals while he joined the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless. During his ten years at the Coalition, he oversaw the organization s network organizing with human beings experiencing homelessness software, evolved a thriving pupil internship program by way of training and mentoring scholar volunteers and interns who performed an necessary position in Coalition-led campaigns, and labored to provide carrier vendors and others devoted to finishing homelessness an street to take part in public policy discussion approximately homelessness and low-priced housing.
