Originally from Newport News, Virginia, Michael Scholl graduated from Old Dominion University in 1990 with a diploma in mechanical engineering. He acquired his Juris Doctorate from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis in 1993. Mr. Scholl is admitted to exercise law in Tennessee country courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas, america District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Mr. Scholl has been certified as a Criminal Trial Specialist by using the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA. He is a life-time member of the Memphis Bar Association; served on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; is a school member at the TACDL Trial College; nominated as a Memphis vicinity Super Lawyer since its inception; named as one of the Top a hundred Trial Lawyers in America through the National Trial Lawyers Association; and elected as a Fellow via the Memphis Bar Foundation.
