Jake Oeth grew up in Ogden, IA, a small town north of Des Moines and west of Ames. He graduated from Drake University Law School with honors in May 2018. While in law college, Jake was a part of a collection of college students who helped a federal inmate correctly practice for a commutation of his life sentence for a drug conviction and served as a scholar attorney in the Drake Legal Clinic representing court docket appointed criminal defendants. After graduating from regulation faculty, he worked at a small firm representing business real estate customers earlier than becoming a member of the group at VanDerGinst Law.
Jake obtained his undergraduate degree in political technological know-how from Loras College in Dubuque, IA, wherein he also played basketball for the Duhawks. After graduating from Loras College in 2009, Jake worked for U.S. Senator Tom Harkin in Washington, D.C and later moved again to Iowa to paintings for U.S. Representative Bruce Braley in Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, and Des Moines. Jake has vast enjoy with federal, country, and neighborhood governments and operating on federal & presidential campaigns, consisting of the Iowa Caucuses.
