Lawyer Epley received his J.D. from Drake Law School in Des Moines in 2009. While at Drake Law School, Ethan become a member and officer in the Agricultural Law Association and an Editor for the Agricultural Law Journal. Ethan earned his undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree from Iowa State University in 2002 with a major in Agricultural Studies and a minor in Agronomy.
While at Law School in Des Moines Ethan worked for the Beginning Farmers Center positioned in Urbandale Iowa. While operating for the Center Ethan participated in a studies venture regarding the expanded absentee possession of farm land in addition to problems concerning estate making plans for the own family farm. Ethan also wrote an editorial entitled "Manure Management Planning" and helped broaden the Manure Agreement Decision Making Tool which offers farmers a useful resource to help while developing a manure agreement.
Ethan s deep hobby in farming and agricultural regulation comes from his circle of relatives s vast involvement in agriculture. Ethan grew up on his family s century farm placed in Butler and Bremer Counties. His involvement of farming maintains today as he enables his father with his farm and has began farming a small plot of his wife s grandparents farm in Butler County.
