About
In the first half of of my legal schooling, I worked full-time, attended law faculty component-time and volunteered with African American Family Services and Legal Aid (both in Minneapolis, MN). In the second 1/2 of my prison training, I attended regulation faculty full-time, worked component- time and volunteered as a scholar lawyer (under the supervision of certified legal professionals). I had my first two youngsters at the same time as a law pupil and graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN in January 2003. After my commencement, I devoted my time to elevating my younger youngsters and supporting my husband together with his real estate enterprise. I had my third and youngest infant in 2006.
I turned into admitted to Maryland Court of Appeals in June 2009. In September 2009, I founded Law Office of Eshigo P. Okasili, LLC and straight away commenced to serve my community through Sir Bernard Law County Bar Foundation s Pro Bono Program. My exercise focuses commonly on Family Law (i.e. separation agreements, constrained divorce, absolute divorce, annulment, child custody, baby guide, equitable distribution of marital assets and spousal guide/alimony). I also offer prison criminal services to my clients inside the regions of domestic violence, immigration, non-public harm, education and criminal regulation, sometimes.
Not all disputes and all personalities lend themselves to long, steeply-priced and emotionally charged or excessive-conflict courtroom battles. Therefore, I additionally provide mediation and collaborative services to the ones of my customers who find either mediation or collaborative regulation to be a better fit for them. I even have a purchaser-focused exercise and serve my customers by advising them of the options available to them, placing practical expectancies for them, working hard to settle subjects out of courtroom when suitable, litigating them simplest when it's far the maximum possible option, even as demonstrating cultural competence and empathy toward all of my customers. I am educated as a Child Counsel and serve as a court-appointed father or mother ad litem.
