Erik S.H. Wallen graduated from Michigan State University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 1989 from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law. He became admitted to the Michigan Bar in 1989 and was employed as an Associate with the Law organization of Patterson Gruber Kennedy Gill and Milster located in Bay City, Michigan concentrating in crook protection and standard civil litigation. In 1997 Erik turned into promoted to Partner, concentrating in Civil Litigation. In 2000, Erik joined the regulation workplace of Kennedy Gill Wallen Rieman and Reyes as a Partner in which his practice focused on Personal Injury Litigation, Family Law and Criminal Defense. In January, 2005 after 16 years in non-public practice in Bay City Michigan, Erik joined the Midland County Prosecuting Lawyer’s Office as the Chief Assistant Prosecutor. Erik was liable for the oversight of the day to day workplace operations, the management of the criminal case load and the lawyer group of workers. Erik prosecuted felonies starting from violent assaultive crimes to capital drug offenses. In December, 2013 Erik turned into appointed Midland County Prosecuting Lawyer wherein he similarly to his case load, turned into chargeable for a wide array of criminal functions for Midland. Erik again to non-public exercise joining the Law Office of Bock and Wallen PLC in November,2014. Erik has served on the Midland County Child Protection Council, Safe and Sound Child Protection and Advocacy Center Committee, 1016 Recovery Care Network Board of Directors (Chairman in 2012 and Vice-Chairman in 2011), and various sub-committees in the community. He has been a member of the Midland County Drug Court because it’s inception on the way to lower recidivism for individuals charged with substance-abuse associated crimes within the network. Erik has practiced regulation within the Michigan Tri-City area for the past 25 years. He has been married to his university sweetheart for 26 years.
