I am a San Francisco-primarily based trial lawyer captivated with representing tenants in disputes with landlords and people who've been injured. I am a founding partner at Toscano Kellogg & Van Aken LLP, where I pursue claims in opposition to landlords arising out of unlawful evictions from lease-controlled residences, tenant harassment, defective conditions and repair troubles, rodent and different pest infestations, and floods. I also counsel tenants about their rights beneath federal, state, and neighborhood laws, in particular the San Francisco Rent Ordinance and the Oakland Just Cause for Eviction Ordinance, and negotiate buyouts for tenants interested by relocating from their lease-managed residences. I additionally constitute pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers worried in vehicle collisions who've been injured because of some other character’s carelessness. I’m active within the Bar Association of San Francisco s Barristers Club. From 2012 to 2013, I become a member of the Barristers Club’s Board of Directors, serving as Board Vice President in 2013. I’ve volunteered as a mentor in BASF’s Mind the Gap Program, an initiative that offers possibilities for unemployed and underemployed lawyers; and as a Mentoring Circle Leader in a pilot application launched via BASF in 2014 that offers professional advice and steering to new practitioners. I currently serve on BASF’s Solo/Small Firm Executive Committee and BASF’s Technology Committee. I revel in working with recent graduates and new lawyers—mainly the ones interested by taking off their own small corporation or solo practice. I’m also concerned with the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, the San Francisco Tenants Union, and the Italian American Bar Association of Northern California. › ›
