Donna Civitello is a companion at Carter & Civitello in Woodbridge, Connecticut. She concentrates her practice inside the areas of workers’ compensation and Social Security incapacity. She graduated from Yale University in 1978 and from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1986. She is an author, at the side of Robert Carter, Jason Dodge, Jim Pomeranz and Lucas Strunk, of Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Law, a prison treatise. She additionally authored Injured on the Job, a manual for injured people and union representatives. She is a Fellow of the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers, and serves at the Chairman’s Legal Advisory Committee to the Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Commission. She has been Editor-in-Chief of Compensation Quarterly, a mag for Connecticut employees’ repayment practitioners, and is presently a member of its Editorial Board. She is a former member of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Workers’ Compensation Certification, and now serves on its Examining Committee. She has been an adjunct professor of law at the University of Connecticut School of Law, in which she taught a people’ compensation course in conjunction with her husband and law partner Bob Carter. She has been indexed annually in Best Lawyers in America, Woodward/White, due to the fact 1995 to the prevailing, has been named a member of The Outstanding Lawyers of America, is called in The Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, and is a New England Super Lawyer.
