Mr. Karnes became born in Norfolk, Virginia and he graduated from Tabernacle Baptist School, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Mr. Karnes obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pre-regulation from Bob Jones University in 1996. He obtained his law diploma from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis, magna cum laude in 2001. Mr. Karnes was a Note Development Editor on the Indiana Law Review and participated in National Moot Court Competition. He has also completed a 40 hour civil mediation schooling and acquired the Francis J. Feeney, Jr. Tax award.
Mr. Karnes’ professional memberships encompass the Muncie Bar Association, the Indiana Bar Association and the American Bar Association. David and his spouse, Tara, live in Selma, Indiana with their 4 children, Brayden, Brandt, Bracken and Bryce.
Mr. Karnes is noticeably lively in the Muncie Community. He is currently at the Lifestream Services Board of Directors; First Choice for Women Board - Vice Chair; and on the governance committees of the United Way of Delaware County and the Soup Kitchen of Muncie. Past Board has membershipships include the United Way of Delaware County and Hillcroft Services. Mr. Karnes enjoys being worried in education soccer for Burris, and watching his sons play basketball and football.
Mr. Karnes is a member of Grace Baptist Church, Muncie, Indiana and has served as a deacon and deacon chairman in the course of his 20+ 12 months membership.
